Cheyenne, Wyoming

Cheyenne is the capitol of Wyoming, and what the state boasts is that they were the first state to give women equal rights.  On a trip to Colorado in late July of 2006, I took a quick trip up to Cheyenne and these are pictures of the capitol building and other such things.

A replica of the Liberty Bell sits on the one corner of the Capitol Building.

And the inscription is here.

And here is the capitol building itself.

Another view from around the left side.

Same side, less trees.

Here is a closer picture of the statue in front of the building.

From another angle.

This is the inscription on the statue.

A look down Capitol Ave.  All the flags were because they were having their Frontier Days.

Moving on to the right side of the capitol building and continuing around.

Better view of the statue out front of Esther Holmes Morris.

A closer view of her inscription.
