Charlottesville, Virginia

In September 2006 Sam and I took a roadtrip to Virginia to see the last Dave Matthews Band concert of the summer tour. We started in Miami and made a bit of a loop over the course of three days.

Our trip starts out from St. Augustine on FL 9A, heading north.

This bridge goes over the St. John's River.

Going over the bridge...

And now looking down over the side.

Heading towards I-95. Unless you'd rather go to a zoo, then head to the right.

A FL 9A shield. The truck nearly ruined it!

FL 9A goes to I-295 and we take I-95 north.

Take this exit to go to the Jacksonville airport.

A road scene of I-95 just before Georgia.

And welcome to Georgia!

An exit for I-16 from I-95.

An I-95 shield in Georgia.

And we've made it to South Carolina already.

More welcoming from South Carolina.

US 17 meets up with I-95. Here are their shields.

And here is where US 17 goes a different way from I-95.

Exits for I-26.

A road scene of I-95 in South Carolina.

A South of the Border sign. I have many more of these under the Pennsylvania-Miami Roadtrip page.

A US 378 shield. We only visited this road for a short time.

Another road scene.

SC 58 in Turbeville.

And US 301.

A little bit of construction on US 378 and US 301.

A dirt road we took just to get a county. Oh the lengths we go to.

We run into SC 341 here.

US 378 and SC 341 shields.

No more US 378. Now we take US 52.

Still on US 52.

It is starting to get darker so pictures get worse, but this is US 52.

US 301 joins US 52 here.

A fuzzy picture of Florence.

And now we meet up with US 76.

We catch a glimpse of I-95 again.

Another cloudy picture of Florence.

Last picture on I-95 because it was too dark after this to make out much of anything.
