Day one of this trip took us leaving Chicago and heading towards Iowa. We were stopping in Perry, IA where my grandmother was born and grew up. Then from there we headed south to Kansas City.

Day one of this trip took us leaving
Chicago and heading towards Iowa. We were stopping in Perry, IA
where my grandmother was born and grew up. Then from there we
headed south to Kansas City.
 Here we are starting out west on I-80. |
 I-80/US 6 shields. My father remembers taking US 6 all the time when he was younger. |
 And now I have a couple road scene pictures for you. |
 As you can see, nothing terribly interesting. We did go visit my brother at school though. |
 But it's fun at the same time. |
 And now we've moved on to US 63. |
 I think this one is more interesting because of gas prices. But there are I-80 and US 63 shields. |

 This is Perry. It is a small town in Iowa where my grandmother was born and grew up. |
