Key West
March 2007

For a weekend in March 2007 Sam and I took a trip down to Key West and these are the photographs that resulted.

Looking over the ocean.
This is the southernmost house in the United States and was closed off for a wedding while we were there. The southernmost point in the United States. I'm not sure why they have those fake people there.

This was on the ground nearby the southernmost point.

The little train that brought tourists around the area.

Looking down towards the southermost point again.

The Naval Air Station.

People still feel the effects of the hurricanes that come through this area.

US 1 and Truman Ave.

US 1 and Whitehead St.

Looking up US 1.

The lighthouse in Key West.

The entrance to the lighthouse.

Famous Duval St.

Hog's Breath Saloon entrance and also Ripley's Believe It or Not! entrance.

Downtown Key West.

Looking down the street in the other direction.
These bikers came from Miami and biked all the way down to Key West to mile 0. We passed nearly every one of them on the trip down. Love the helmet.

All the shops.

Just one of the many performers they have at the pier here.

Sunset in Key West.

More sunset.

A little further to the left.

All the people watching. We got front row seats!

Unfortunately the clouds got a bit in our way for the finale.

Taken by Sam, as are other pictures here. The moon over Key West.
