My brother attends college in Iowa when he isn't off in Germany, and one of these times I went to pick him up we decided we didn't want to go home right away. Basically, he picked out a town on the map called Cuba that he wanted to go visit. Then we made our way back home after stopping at Cuba and New Salem to visit an Abraham Lincoln Historical Site. These pictures are all from December 2005. They start in the Quad City area, go down to New Salem, and then back up to the Chicago area.

If you can make it past the smears that were on the window, this is an IL 78 shield.	IL 78 and IL 116 shields and entering a new county!	We've now moved on to IL 9.
Here we're getting ready to go onto IL 97.	More than ready, it would seem. IL 9 leaves us.	The antennae got in the way, but it truly is an IL 97 shield.
We're approaching my brother's chosen destination of Cuba.	Up a hill on IL 97...	And over.
