The Everglades Revisited
April 2006

In April of 2006 I revisited the Everglades and took these pictures. They go further than the ones taken in 2005; they go all the way down to Flamingo, the furthest south you can reach in Florida on the mainland.

Here we are entering the park.

This is a view looking out from the entrance way.

The road ahead! Here we're going to go get a better look at the Everglades.

The entrance to Royal Palm.

Panther Crossing!

Through the trees we must go.

Still going...

Ooh...wildlife!

Can you spot the alligator?

How about now?

Looking out into the Everglades...

Sunbathing Anhila.

More Everglades. So pretty.

Swimming alligator in the water. The first of many.

Birds in the tree.

More birds in a tree. You just have to look closer.

Slowly and steadily...

...they move along in the waters of the Everglades.

Long necks.

Aww, it's a little turtle!

Ooh...another alligator.

You have to look closely for these birds.

And here's some more in another tree.

A better view of one of the birds in the tree.

Look at the turtle! I love turtles.

This is an Anhinga, I think.

Scary looking.

I took this picture because I thought it was pretty.

Balancing on the branch in the middle of the water.

Baby birds and the Mommy. She is regurgitating just for them! Yummy.
