In February of 2005 I took a trip to the Everglades and snapped a few pictures of the wildlife that could be found arund there. I scanned the pictures and put them up here. There were lots of alligators and crocodiles, as you might expect, but also plenty of birds and even some turtles. They also have Florida panthers and manatees in the park, though I did not get to see any on this trip.

I got just a teensy bit closer.	Every once in a while, you just have to lie in the sun for a bit.	There is a lot of wildlife in the Everglades.

There are actually crocodiles as well as alligators in the Everglades. This is one of them.	Another kind of bird found in the Everglades.	More birds.
And a turtle! With an alligator in the background.	This is a really interesting-looking bird, in my opinion. It's drying off in the sunshine.
