Rocky Mountain National Park
July 2006

These are the pictures of our visit to the Rocky Mountain National Park. As we got higher into the mountains, the temperature dropped significantly. Where we started it was almost 90 degrees. Towards the top, it was about 48. The scenery was amazing and I enjoyed the ride.

A first glimpse into the park.

Mountains and trees.

We drove up this windy path through the park.

More path and rocks.

Still going up...

More trees. They get more scarce later.

You can walk along this path...

...to see things like this...

...and this.
   The big picture.

This gives you an idea of what you're looking at.

A view of the mountains.

The trees are getting more scarce now. It's called a tree line because at a certain point the trees will no longer grow any higher up the mountain.

Rocks. Big ones.

Ah, wildlife.

And a nutcracker.

This picture taken by my brother of the nutcracker.
